About
Established March 26th 2007, two ageing music fans, one resident in Manchester and the other in London [both UK!], review, rant and ramble on about tunes and bands because they never got a fanzine together.
All music is posted to give you a taste of the music we love. If we post a file it will only be available for seven days (or in some cases a 100 downloads). If you like it go and buy it. We recommend these record shops:
Sister Ray in London
Piccadilly Records in Manchester
Norman Records in Leeds
If you have a problem with us putting any file up please contact us:
bothbarson@yahoo.co.uk
Feel free to contact us at this address for any other reason, but bear in mind we both have other things to do…
And in case you’ve missed those buttons up there in the header, we have a Facebook page and a Twitter.
Cheers,
angrybonbon and jkneale

Hello
Requesting your participation in the third annual UK Blogger Album Of The Year poll, where we find out who the online British music writing community think should follow 2005′s Funeral (http://tinyurl.com/2ctayv) and 2006′s Return To Cookie Mountain (http://tinyurl.com/22nov3) as their choice of the the year’s best album. Just send us your top ten of the year before December 30th – the only qualification being nominees have to be a full-length that has received its first UK release this year – and watch for the results on January 1st.

Hi Andre
You can email us at bothbarson@yahoo.co.uk
Cheers
I emailed you guys and you never got back to me, *holds chest in bout of pain*
Thanks for the kind words about my blog/podcast. Sorry I didn’t even notice the comment until now. Still trying to figure out if I want to work to get the word out a bit more or just let folks stumble across it as you apparently did. I haven’t even figured out how to add the RSS feed thingy to it (or what one even is), and I just recently started creating mp3s of each installment that function as mobile podcasts (laboriously, in Garageband). I’m a total tech layman, but any advice would be appreciated, if you’ve the time/inclination. I’ll add you to my blogroll as well – good stuff!
Hi BeeDub – I’m the clueless half of this team, technically speaking, but we’ll think about any tips we might have! Music-wise you don’t need any help from me. That Feb podcast was exactly what we’re after and the March one looks great too. We take our hats off.
Back atcha JK. Cheers!
Hi, thank you for including me in your blogroll. Appreciate it a lot.
First of all, I wanna say I really love your blog. I’ve found some great music through it and I wanna say thank you for that.
I’m an independent artist from San Francisco and release music under the name Rabbit Hole Revelations. I recently released my second album, which has been in the making for over a year. It’s a mix of electronic and hip-hop with folk, funk, jazz, ambient and a bunch of other stuff. I think you will enjoy it and it would really mean a lot to me if you gave it a listen.
You can download it for free here: http://rabbitholerev.bandcamp.com/album/songs-for-broken-ears
Best of luck!
Pedro
Thanks Pedro! And thanks for the music – we will have a listen.
