Kingsbury: Lie To Me EP

Kingsbury hail from Florida and make subtle, atmospheric, thoughtful music that uses more dramatic elements with commendable restraint. New EP Lie To Me follows 2007′s album The Great Compromise but branches out into a little folktronica; it also includes two hushed instrumentals. This reminds me a little of Sweet Billy Pilgrim. Good stuff.
The first track is, I think, stronger than the title track; the second is barely there but beautiful nonetheless.
The EP is available as a free download on their snazzy website, as is everything else they’ve ever done. Go listen but donate if you like it, or buy from Post Records. And sign the mailing list. Lots more info on the site, too.
